Sage Turkey Burgers

Great go-to autoimmune paleo protein option.
Servings 8 Small Patties

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground turkey breast
  • 0.25 cup finely diced apple
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced fresh sage
  • 0.5 teaspoon finely minced fresh thyme
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients, but only 1 tablespoon of olive oil.Grill: make 4 patties and grill 6-8 minutes on each side to an internal temperature of 165 degrees.Pan fry: Make 8 patties. Heat a frying pan with 2 tablespoons olive oil. Brown patties 3-4 minutes on each side over medium heat, until firm to touch. Store leftovers in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator up to 5 days, or freeze.  (Recipe #743)
