Fruit Kanten

Kanten is a relaxing and very digestible dessert with no added sugar or gluten. The main ingredient is agar-agar which is a sea vegetable. It is important to purchase organic or good quality agar-agar since it is a key ingredient. Prepare this dessert the night before to allow time to set before serving.

Ingredients
- 2 cups fruit juice such as apple cider
- 2 tablespoons agar-agar flakes
- 1 cup finely diced fruit such as apples
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine fruit juice and agar-agar. Whisk the agar flakes into the juice until the flakes dissolve. Bring mixture to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 5 mins. Add fruit and return mixture to a boil. Pour in serving dishes. Cool and refrigerate. Serve once it sets. (Recipe♦423)
