Green Slaw with Toasted Walnut Dressing

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head of cabbage shredded fine
  • 1 bunch lacinato kale shredded fine
  • 1.5 cups walnuts chopped
  • 0.5 cup red onion or to taste, thinly slivered
  • 0.333333 cup cider vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 5 drops stevia or a spoon of honey for a sweet note optional

Instructions
 

  • Place the chopped walnuts on a tray without crowding and toast them at 350°F for about 4 - 5 mins. Stir them twice during the process and watch them constantly so you don’t burn them.    Combine the dressing ingredients. Toss the shredded kale and cabbage, toasted walnuts and dressing.    (Recipe♦461)
