Red Cabbage Sautee

Red Cabbage Sautee
Servings 2 servings

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups red cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 5 tablespoons vegetable or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons ginger root grated
  • 2 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 5 drops wheat free tamari soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • rice vinegar a few drops to taste

Instructions
 

  • Quarter cabbage, slice into 1/4-inch strips, and let sit for at least 5 minutes. Toss cabbage with lemon juice. Heat broth over medium heat in a stainless steel skillet. When broth begins to steam, add cabbage, ginger, garlic and tamari. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and rice vinegar to taste. For more flavor, toss cabbage with the Mediterranean Dressing ingredients.
