Turmeric Tonic

Ingredients
- 2 fresh turmeric root grated on a microplane, or 2 tsp dried
- 3 cardamom pods crushed
- 0.25 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine turmeric and cardamom with 2 cups water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat. Strain the liquid through a fine sieve, and add 2 more cups water.In a small bowl, whisk lemon juice and honey to combine, then add to turmeric mixture. Chill. Serve over ice. (Recipe #851)
